Nicole

Life feels like an uphill battle for Nicole.

She struggles as a single mother of three. She suffers with pain and disability from multiple car accident injuries and medical problems. She has not worked since May of 2020. She is applying for disability – a lengthy and time consuming process. Unfortunately, as the process moves slowly along, the bills continue to pile up. Nicole was falling further behind every day.

Desperate and not knowing where else to turn, Nicole reached out to Love INC. A Clearinghouse volunteer listened with compassion to her story, and prayed with her. The hope is that right away, Nicole would feel valued.

When she was contacted to complete her intake, Nicole requested a washer and dryer. She is renting hers and that is an expense that could get cut out. Once verification was complete, Site Visit volunteers met her at her home to assess her need. They found this family of four was sharing one king sized mattress, and had no dressers for storing their clothes.

Volunteers with the Furniture and Appliance Ministry were excited to be able to deliver 3 twin beds and bedding, a king bed frame and box spring, and 4 chests of drawers for the family. This is possible because of YOUR generous donations! The children were thrilled to have beds and dressers of their own. Nicole’s bedroom is now a space that provides precious privacy for her when she needs it. You gave this family the opportunity to have a house that feels like a home. Unfortunately, there was no washer and dryer we could donate to her at this time.

To help with immediate needs, Nicole was referred to visit Faith Presbyterian Church for the Personal Care Ministry. This is something she can do once each month, and will provide her family with personal hygiene and toiletry items, eliminating that expense. This allows her to use the money she would typically spend on those items to pay something else. She was also referred to visit Angel’s Touch at Lady Lake United Methodist Church. She can visit once every three months, and choose gently used clothing for herself and her children. Nicole does not have to worry about her kids growing out of their clothing, when things get worn out, or when seasons change. This relieves a mental burden for her.

Nicole will be invited to join T4M, Love INC’s Comprehensive Transformational Ministry held at Tri County Baptist Church. The hope is that by providing these material items for Nicole, a relationship will start. The goal of this relationship is for Nicole and her children to know how valuable they are, to God and to you! We strive to see their lives transformed as Nicole builds skills and realizes her potential to grow and thrive.
