Dan and Betty have been married for just over a year. Betty has two children from a previous marriage. Her ex-husband does not send any child support. Dan and Betty had savings, but he was laid off and she was furloughed from Disney due to COVID-19. It did not take long for them to go through the majority of the money they had worked hard to save.

Dan has been diligent in applying for jobs, but has not found one yet. They have both been working odd jobs, doing anything that would bring a bit of money in. In spite of their efforts, they were continuing to fall behind.

When they called the Clearinghouse to ask for help, a volunteer listened carefully to their story then prayed with them. Right away, a job packet was mailed to them to help them with their job search. They were also given the information for agencies to contact, so they could ask for help paying their bills. After the verification process Dan and Betty visited the Personal Care Ministry at Faith Presbyterian Church.

So many are suffering from the effects COVID-19 is having on our economy. It is an honor to walk alongside Dan and Betty as they seek to work. The goal is that they will feel loved and know they are not walking alone. YOU are with them, YOU make it possible for them to receive help when they need it.
