Kyesha works hard to provide for her three children. Recently divorced from their father, she has a full time job as a custodian for the school system. Despite receiving food assistance, she still comes up short each month. Kyesha called Love INC because she needed a bed, and had no other way to get one.

​When a Clearinghouse volunteer spoke to Kyesha, they discussed her budget and some ideas as to how she could cut costs so she is not spending more than she makes. One way her expenses can be cut is through visits to the Personal Care Ministry at Faith Presbyterian Church. She went there and received cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items. She can continue to visit each month if she wants to. Kyesha also applied for a different position in the school system and is waiting to see if she will get that job, which would be an increase in income.

Once Kyesha completed the verification process with the Clearinghouse, Site Visit volunteers met her at her home. They found her house was neat and clean and were able to determine that her only need was a bed. Shortly after, the Furniture and Appliance Ministry was delighted to deliver it.

Each step of the way, the goal is to love Kyesha and her children with the love of Christ. By providing for physical needs and walking with them through life circumstances, they are shown that they are loved and valued – by you and by God. Generous donations of time, material items and funds make it possible for Kyesha and families like hers to receive help and hope in their time of need.
