Toni is a single mother with three children.

Her sons’ father is in jail. She called Love INC requesting help getting beds for her sons. Toni receives disability benefits and provides for her children through that, and food stamps.

​After the Clearinghouse process of Intake and Verification was completed by volunteers who listened to Toni’s story with compassion and prayed with her, Site Visit volunteers visited her at home. They found she didn’t have much furniture or other supplies. Toni and her children were sleeping on mattresses on the floor. The house needed a lot of repairs, but the landlord was scheduled to come work on those.

The Furniture and Appliance Ministry delivered beds for everyone in the family. But they did not stop there! Thanks to generous donations, they brought towels, washcloths, plates, cups, silverware and a lamp to help make their home more comfortable and functional. They also brought a shower stool for Toni from the Medical Ministry at First Baptist Church of Summerfield. These details are a way of showing Love In the Name of Christ to the people we serve! The goal is that they will know they are valued down to the last detail.
