You’ve met Donald before.

He has cancer, along with multiple other health issues. When he first reached out to Love INC he was going through radiation. Donald’s mother recently passed away and the family divided everything between the three children. Now Donald lives with his brother and his brother’s two sons. He is struggling to keep things together. He is depressed and having a hard time. He’s overwhelmed.

When you first helped Donald, it was to provide beds and bedding. The Clearinghouse has stayed in touch with him since that time. Recently, he had a much different request. He asked if we could help get a car into his name. His mom had left the car to the three siblings and neither of the other two wanted it.

A couple of volunteers worked with him to find the right paperwork and coach him through the process. There were a couple of difficulties along the way. The tags had expired under his mom’s name and he couldn’t legally drive the car. In addition, Donald was on bed rest off and on, and had a hard time concentrating due to his health issues.

Eventually, through working together, the volunteers and Donald were able to get the car retitled into his name. Having a vehicle he can use makes such a difference in Donald’s life. He can now travel back and forth to his doctor’s appointments independently. Generous contributions made this possible.
