Paul, Annie + Sandy

Paul, Annie and Sandy each needed a lift chair for different reasons.

(A lift chair is a chair that features a powered lifting mechanism that pushes the entire chair up from its base and so assists the user to a standing position.)

Paul was having trouble sleeping because he couldn’t lay flat to sleep or get in and out of a regular recliner. Annie’s mom lives with her and has health issues that cause her legs to swell and have problems. Sandy’s father started having problems getting out of his chair at home.

They reached out to Love In the Name of Christ to request the needed lift chair. Because lift chairs are a part of the Medical Ministry, as long as there is one available, the client can get it as soon as possible. Thankfully, when Paul and Annie called there was a lift chair available and it was delivered to them.

Sometimes, if there is not one immediately available, a client is put on a waiting list until one is donated. It is delivered as quickly as it can be after that. This was the case for Sandy. She was on the waiting list for a month before her chair could be delivered.

The generous sharing of resources is a gift to the community. We are thankful to be able to coordinate all the logistics necessary to meet these types of needs. Investments of time, talent, and/or treasure makes it all possible.
