Kay

Love In the Name of Christ is more about relationships than transactions.

You’ve heard about Kay for a couple of years now. She’s in her 30s and living with her mom. When she first came to Love INC, she was a Muslim. She was working, but later had a car accident that caused her to need to apply for disability. After Kay’s accident, her mom had to work hard at the hospital to provide for them both.

During the time that Kay was involved with Love INC, she turned her life over to God. When she was baptized, she invited a couple of the ladies that she had built a relationship with at Angel’s Touch Clothing Ministry. She also invited some of the Love INC staff. Two staff members and one volunteer from Angel’s Touch were there at her baptism, and she was delighted to share that day with them. It was obvious to them that God brought transformation over Kay. She had a joy about her that had been missing before. Your investment in Kay was a part of that transformation.
Kay’s life has gone through some changes over the last few years as you have walked with her. She is now on disability and her mom is retired from the hospital. They are both on limited incomes, so local churches – through Love INC – continue to come alongside Kay. She goes to the Personal Care Ministry at Faith Presbyterian Church and Angel’s Touch Clothing Ministry at Lady Lake United Methodist Church occasionally.

Volunteers from Fairway Christian Church, Tri County Baptist Church, Faith Presbyterian Church, and First Baptist Church at The Villages have taken time to listen to her, hear her story, and pray with her throughout the process so she feels she has value and worth.

Because she has allowed us to know her beyond whichever current crisis she has been experiencing, she has shared some hopes and dreams. Recently, the Clearinghouse had the opportunity to celebrate with her! She was a reader at Mass on a recent Sunday and she was so excited. It has been a dream of hers to be a reader and now it is fulfilled. She continues to pray for her Muslim family members and hopes they will come to know Jesus and find the joy and peace she has.
