Louis had an accident that caused his legs to stop working properly.

To get around now, he uses a walker at times. Other times he needs a wheelchair. When he reached out to Love In the Name of Christ, he could not get his wheelchair in and out of his house. He was calling to ask for help getting a wheelchair ramp installed at his home.

Clearinghouse Volunteers listened to learn what his circumstances were. Louis inherited his house from family and he’s on disability. Due to his limited income, he’s unable to afford the ramp on his own.

He was referred to Carpenters for Christ, and they gave him an estimate. Louis agreed to pay part of the materials and Love INC agreed to pay the rest. Carpenters for Christ provided the labor.

Generous partnership made it possible for Louis to easily access his home on either his walker or his wheelchair. This is a beautiful example of the Church coming together to show Love In the Name of Christ to a member of the community.
