Lane has overcome a lot.

She is a recovering addict and has been clean for 12 years.  She deals with a lot of pain, but can’t take regular pain medications due to a previous addiction. She is a single mother with one child and has been a client for many years.

Recently Lane was living with and caring for her stepfather while she waited for her disability to come through. Unfortunately, her stepfather passed away last year adding grief to her difficulties.

Shortly after her stepfather passed away, her fridge went out and Lane reached out to Love INC for help. The Furniture and Appliance Ministry was able to deliver a new one to her, and she said it was the prettiest one she’d ever seen. During the Clearinghouse verification process, she shared that she isn’t able to meet her bills each month. Lane was able to receive household cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items from Faith Presbyterian Church’s Personal Care Ministry. She can take the funds she would have spent on these items and use them to help with her monthly bills. She can do this once a month if she wants to continue to receive this help.
